Andhra Pradesh Horticulture University (APHU) invites application from eligible candidates for the following posts:
Dean of Horticulture-Post-1
Pay Scale: Rs.37,400-67,000 + 10,000 AGP
Qualification:
a. Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture
b. Ph.D. Degree in Horticulture or any related disciplines to Horticulture
c. Minimum twenty years of experience in teaching/research/extension/administration in Horticulture, out of which at least five years should be as Professor/Principal Scientist/Associate Director or equivalent rank.
d. Significant professional achievements in his filed of specialization/activity.
Desirable:
a. Knowledge and experience of planning, organizing and administering research programmes.
Director of Extension-Post-1
Pay Scale: Rs.37,400-67,000 + 10,000 AGP
Qualification:
a. Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture/Agriculture
b. Ph.D. degree in Horticulture/Agriculture
c. Minimum twenty years of experience in teaching/research/extension in Horticulture/Agriculture with 5 years experience in Horticultural crops.
d. Atleast five years of experience should be as Professor/Principal Scientist/Associate Director or equivalent rank.
Desirable:
a. Knowledge and experience of planning, organizing and administering various extension programmes.
Assistant Professor-Posts-5
Pay Scale: Rs.15,600-39,100 + 6,000 AGP
Qualification:
i. A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Horticulture.
ii. A Master’s degree in the subject (discipline) concerned with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade.
iii. Should have passed SSC examination or any other equivalent examination with Telugu as one of the subjects or should have studied SSC through the medium of Telugu or should have working knowledge of Telugu.
Technical Officer-Posts-3
Pay Scale: Rs.15,600-39,100 + 6,000 AGP
Qualification:
i. A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Horticulture.
ii. A Master’s degree in the subject (discipline) concerned with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade.
iii. Should have passed SSC examination or any other equivalent examination with Telugu as one of the subjects or should have studied SSC through the medium of Telugu or should have working knowledge of Telugu.
Research Assistant (Contract basis)-Posts-18
Pay Scale: Consolidated remuneration of Rs.12000/- per month
Qualification:
M.Sc. in Horticulture/ Agriculture/ Botany/ Zoology/ Micro-Biology/ Bio-Technology/ Plant Pathology/ Entomology/ Social Science/ Agriculture Chemistry/ Computer Applications.
Assistant Professor-Posts-12
Pay Scale: Rs.12,000/- per month
Qualification:
i. A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Horticulture.
ii. A Master’s degree in the subject (discipline) concerned with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade.

No money order/postal order shall be entertained. For obtaining it by post a self addressed and stamped envelope of Rs.40/- of the size 35 X 15 cm should be enclosed to the requisition letter. The envelope containing the requisition for application formshall be superscribed “REQUISITION FOR APPLICATION OF DIRECTOR OF EXTENSION/PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/ASSISTANT PROFESSOR/ TECHNICAL OFFICER POST” (strike off which ever is not applicable) and sent to The Registrar, A.P.Horticultural University, enkatramannagudem, Post Box No.7, Tadepalligudem – 534 101, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh Such filled in applications should reach the undersigned on or before 15.9.2010 but the applications received after 15.9.2010/4.00 PM cannot be entertained.
