Senior Planning Engineer- NPCC Engineering Limited

Job Description

• Minimum 5 years experience in Oil and Gas Industry

• Should have served as a Sr. Planning Engineer for 2 years, preferably on Offshore Projects

• Very Good knowledge & exposure on Planning techniques and planning software

• Good working Knowledge of major software related to data handling & planning systems

• Good Communication & Writing skill

• Good Presentation Skill

• During tendering stage, reviews enquiry documentation from client together with Scope of Work; raises queries and interfaces with other disciplines to finally provide inputs during bid preparation.

• On award of projects perform as under: Responsible for complete Process Design and Engineering works on a project, includes optimization and correctness of design; cost considerations, man-hours control and providing guidance and training to the Process Engineers working on the Project.

• Coordinates with Project Engineering Manager assigned to the Project Co-ordinates with Project Manager, Clients, other Discipline Engineers, Consultants, and Vendors etc. as required.

• Develop scope for Sub contractors related to Process works as per Project requirements.

• Develop Process Design Basis based on scope of work, subsequent client's clarifications and site visit etc.

• Perform Process simulation/Guide Process Engineers to perform process simulations and develop Heat & Mass Balance as required.

• Guide/Review the Process Engineer’s works such as equipment/instrument sizing, process calculations, pipeline hydraulics, blow down calculations, preparation of PFDs & P&Ids, equipment/instrument data sheets preparation etc.

• Review of Operating Manual.

• Prepare performance guarantee procedure and provide support during commissioning and performance run as required.

• Plan HAZOP, HAZID and other safety studies, provide process input and participate as required. Provides input for the development of the Planning Package and project progress reporting.

• Monitor and Control man-hours to ensure that the job is finished within budgeted man-hours. Receives “as built” information from the Project Management Team, reviews content and, if satisfied, passes to drafting for production of drawings. Develop Spread Sheets; programme to simplify Process works.

 

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications: Graduate in Chemical / Industrial / Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering
